These spicy and tender chicken skewers are packed with flavor and protein, making them a perfect snack or appetizer for anyone on a keto diet.

Keto Chicken Satay Skewers


  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips

  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos

  • 2 tbsp almond butter

  • 2 tbsp lime juice

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 8-10 wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes


  1. In a bowl, mix together the coconut aminos, almond butter, lime juice, fish sauce, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper.

  2. Add the chicken strips to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade.

  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.

  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  5. Thread the chicken strips onto the soaked wooden skewers, making sure to leave some space between each piece.

  6. Grill the chicken skewers for 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are cooked through and slightly charred.

  7. Serve the chicken skewers hot, garnished with some chopped fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice, if desired.
