This simple and savory snack combines the smoky flavor of bacon with the fresh and crisp taste of asparagus.
16 asparagus spears
8 slices of bacon
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Wash and trim the asparagus spears.
Cut each slice of bacon in half.
Wrap each asparagus spear with a half slice of bacon, starting at the bottom and wrapping it around to the top.
Place the bacon-wrapped asparagus spears on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
Serve the bacon-wrapped asparagus spears hot, garnished with some chopped fresh herbs or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired.
